About this print:
Sunrise at Mimms Lake reveals a silhouette of a lone Bald Cypress tree and nearby stumps in the Atchafalaya Basin. The stumps remain from the cypress logging heyday of the 1910’s. The bald cypress, sometimes called wood everlasting, prove to stand by their name, as these relics are over 100 years old. I have watched them slowly deteriorate since my first visit to the lake in 1973. Signed by CC Lockwood.
